Building a custom home gives you the freedom to design a space that reflects your personality, lifestyle, and future goals. Every decision, from floor plans to finishes, is tailored to suit what truly matters to you. A custom home ensures no compromises on what matters most to you.

We offer a range of options to suit your needs and vision. Our customizable floor plans are a great starting point and can be used as-is or tailored to your preferences. Additionally, you’re welcome to bring your own plans, or we can work with you to create a completely unique design from scratch.

Absolutely. Building a custom home lets you tailor the space to your specific needs while avoiding the competition of the pre-owned housing market. Current trends, such as limited housing inventory and increasing material prices, can also enhance your home’s resale value in the future. Buyers are often willing to pay more for homes with modern designs, energy-efficient systems, and updated features.

Getting started is simple. Begin with a consultation to discuss your goals, budget, and timeline. From there, we’ll guide you through every step, from planning your design to finalizing construction. Contact us today to schedule your consultation.

Planning and Design

We’re happy to assist you in finding the perfect lot for your custom home. If you already have a lot, we’ll evaluate it to ensure it meets your needs. Either way, we’re here to guide you through the process of finding the ideal location for your dream home.

Absolutely! If you already have a floor plan or have partnered with an architect, we’ll collaborate to bring your vision to life. Alternatively, you can explore our customizable floor plans as a starting point and adapt them to suit your preferences.

Yes, the time to build is now. Over the years, the overall cost of building homes has continuously increased, and that trend shows no sign of slowing down. Waiting doesn’t necessarily save money—instead, it shifts where your expenses occur. For instance, while one material cost might drop, others are likely to rise. Building now helps you get ahead of potential future price hikes. While we cannot lock in prices, starting your build today ensures that you secure the lowest price available at the time and can achieve your dream home even sooner.

Historically, the cost to build homes rises over time. While some material prices might temporarily decrease, other factors, such as labor or demand, often drive pricing higher overall. Since we cannot lock in prices, waiting could result in paying more later.  Starting today helps you minimize future financial risks by building at current pricing.

Our team will work with you to create a comprehensive budget based on your design preferences, lot selection, and other key factors. By outlining every aspect upfront, we help you avoid surprises and stay within your desired financial plan.

Of course. We’re happy to provide pricing for our standard, non-customized plans so you can get a clear starting point before exploring custom options. Once we understand your adjustment preferences, we can create a tailored estimate to better align with your vision.

Yes, an initial deposit is required to secure your project and begin the planning process. This deposit helps us initiate design work through the preconstruction phase including scheduling your build. We’ll discuss the exact amount during your initial consultation.

Material prices, such as lumber and metal, can fluctuate due to tariffs and supply chain issues. While we cannot control these changes, our industry expertise and strong supplier relationships help us manage costs effectively. Even during challenging periods, like COVID-19, we maintained steady pricing trends and avoided hidden fees, ensuring our clients received the best value possible without compromising quality.

We partner with a trusted network of subcontractors and suppliers to maintain reliability and value. By closely monitoring costs, we ensure that challenges like inflation don’t compromise the quality of your home.

Build Process and Timeline

The build process with Virtue Homes starts with a consultation to discuss your vision, budget, and timeline. From there, we’ll help you design your ideal floor plan, select materials, and start construction. Our team will guide you every step of the way to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.

While timelines can vary based on the complexity of your custom home, most projects take approximately 6 to 8 months to complete after finalizing the design and permits. We’ll provide a detailed schedule during the planning phase to keep you informed every step of the way.

Our build schedule fluctuates depending on current projects, but spots fill quickly. If you’re considering building in the near future, we recommend reaching out soon to secure a spot.
